Although many differentials look different the layout is common. See below to indicate if the different includes an oil pump.

This model only comes with an oil pump; without an oil pump is not an option. The oil pump is bolted to front. You will notice an approximate 3”x3” protrusion below the input shaft

D46-170 DHP - With Oil Pump
If the differential has an oil pump it will be installed and shown in the lower side gear section.
Notice that the pump end is flush and comes up to the splines.
The flat surface to the top of the splines should measure approximately 2.5".

If the differential does not have an oil pump the lower side gear section will not show a pump.
Notice where the pump end would be; it is not flush and the surface's end is below the splines.
