Although many transmissions look different the layout is common. Below pictures can represent various transmissions. See below to indicate if the transmission includes an internal pump
MOST TRANSMISSIONS EXCLUDING MACK & SPICER/TTC
HAS OIL PUMP
If the transmission has an internal oil pump you will notice 2 half inch NPT holes for oil lines positioned towards the bottom of the transmission.
HAS NO OIL PUMP
If the transmission does not have an internal oil pump there will be no half inch NPT holes for oil lines positioned towards the bottom of the transmission.
EATON FR SERIES
HAS OIL PUMP
If an Eaton FR Series transmission has an internal oil pump it will be located towards the bottom of the transmission.
HAS NO OIL PUMP
MACK
HAS OIL PUMP
If a Mack transmission has an internal oil pump it will be located at the front of the transmission by the input shaft.
HAS NO OIL PUMP
SPICER/TTC
HAS OIL PUMP
If a Spicer/TTC transmission has an internal oil pump it will be located underneath the transmission towards the back.
